ATLANTIC CITY — The Coast Guard called of its search earlier Saturday for a missing Haddon Heights man after his body was found on Brigantine Beach.
Deceased was Clayton Miller, 90, of Haddon Heights.
A Good Samaritan contacted the Coast Guard at about 4:40 p.m. Sept. 7 after they spotted Miller’s 22-foot sailboat The Noah’s drifting about 17 miles off the coast here.
The Coast Guard launched several helicopter rescue crews from Air Station Atlantic City, a boat crew from Station Atlantic City, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Albacore and a C-130 Hercules air crew from Elizabeth City, N.C.
Another Good Samaritan found Miller on Brigantine Beach today and contacted local police.
Miller was declared deceased at the scene.
