Attendees at this year’s Cape May Film Festival will have a chance to meet writers, directors, and actors, according to Curator Stefan Prosky.
The festival is being held exclusively this year at Beach Theatre, Nov. 21-23.
The special programs this year include a screenwriter’s workshop on Friday (hosted by Film Society Creative Director and Cape May’s favorite Hollywood screenwriter JC Stinson), film awards, and a “Set in Cape May” Screenwriting Winner at Sunday’s Brunch, plus great parties all weekend long.
Highlights include:
• Friday Night Reception and “Meet the Filmmakers” Screening! Diminished Capacity: Matthew Broderick and Alan Alda star in this the story of a Chicago journalist (Broderick) suffering from memory loss who returns to his rural hometown to bond with his Alzheimer’s-impaired uncle Rollie (Alda) and his old flame. Meet writer Sherwood Kiraly and Director Terry Kinney as well as co-star Heidi Neurauter.
• Seasons in the Valley: Hollywood veteran Elliott Gould lends his distinct voice to this gentle documentary exploring the symbiotic relationships between the apple farmers of NY’s Hudson Valley and their Jamaican labor.
