TRENTON – There was one $1 million second prize winning New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the five white balls for the Sept. 26 drawing.
That winning ticket was purchased at ShopRite on Route 47 in Rio Grande. If the ticket had been purchased with Powerplay, it would have been worth $2 million.
In addition, five New Jersey third prize winning tickets were sold outside the county that matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $10,000 each. One of those tickets was purchased with the Powerplay option making that ticket worth $30,000.
Moreover, 48,372 New Jersey players took home an estimated $265,855 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” stated Hedinger in a release. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
