RIO GRANDE – A new coffee shop expects to be serving “cups of kindness” by the end of the year, when the shop, 7 Brew, hopes to open for business at 3402 Route 9 south.
7 Brew is a nearly 100% drive-thru coffee shop whose brand motto is “cultivating kindness.” According to co-owner/operator Shunori Ramanathan, “We not only believe in this mantra, we believe in cultivating kindness at our site every day, with the goal of bringing smiles and being a bright spot in everyone’s day for both our customers and employees.
“We also strongly believe in giving back to the local community. As part of our opening, we will plan to give free drinks to local schools, hospitals, businesses and other organizations. We also will partner with local charities for both fundraisers and events, and look forward to building these relationships in Rio Grande and the Cape May area.”

While they are still finalizing some dates and logistics, they hope to open before the end of the year. In the meantime, they are looking to hire 40 to 50 part-time employees and expect to begin interviews in late October. Those interested can apply to https://g7bcoffee.7brewcareers.com.
While the shop will be nearly 100% drive-thru, there will be a space for pedestrians on site.
The shop will have a highly customizable menu that includes drink options for all, according to Ramanathan.
“We offer coffees, teas, lemonades, flavored sodas, energy drinks, matcha, chai, smoothies, milkshakes and more,” he said. “We have more than 20,000 different drink combinations, including a full secret menu. While we are primarily drinks, we do also offer muffin tops as snacks.”
When 7 Brew opens, it will join a number of other coffee shops in the Rio Grande area, but Ramanathan believes there’s room for everyone.
“We feel there is room for all in Rio Grande, and it’s great to provide our customers with lots of options,” he said. “However, we are very unique versus other concepts with a highly customizable menu, a fast and engaging drive-thru format, and options on our menu for everyone.
“We also value building strong relationships between our staff and the community, and hope you come first for the drinks, but keep coming back because of the great experiences you have at our stand.”

Ramanathan, with co-owner/operator Zach Rosskamm, is the exclusive franchisee for the 7 Brew coffee chain in the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia markets. They are in the process of opening a shop in Toms River and live in Brooklyn.
7 Brew will also have a rewards program that spans all 7 Brew sites. Ramanathan said rewards program members will receive a free drink for every 10 drinks purchased. In addition, they regularly do promotions and giveaway events, and can cater to larger events. He encourages those interested to follow them @7BrewCoffee on social media to stay updated.
