NORTH WILDWOOD – A contingent from the North Wildwood United Methodist Church (UMC) was at the Aug. 15 North Wildwood City Council meeting to accept a resolution honoring the church on its 125th anniversary.

The resolution says Methodism in Anglesea began March 15, 1989, and the first sanctuary opened Jan. 10, 1899. The current North Wildwood UMC church opened June 4, 1967. The church merged with the UMC church of Wildwood Crest in 2016, and a number of stained glass windows from the Crest were installed in the North Wildwood church. The North Wildwood UMC is located at 2nd and Central avenues.
