SuperAthalon 2017

The race begins with local area lifeguards competing in the first stage of the competition with a run from 2nd Avenue to Poverty Beach in Cape May July 10.

The 36th Annual SuperAthalon, hosted by Cape May Beach Patrol July 10, began at 2nd Avenue and the beach to Poverty Beach and ended at Mogck Beach. Local lifeguards from Longport, Ocean City, Harvey Cedars, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, Ventnor, Cape May, Avalon, Barnegat Light, and Upper Township participated. The race consisted of three stages; 2.3-mile run, 1.5-mile row, and a quarter-mile swim. 
Results:
1st Place – Timothy Schwegman of Longport  48:54
2nd Place – Bryan Pasternak of Ocean City  50:29
3rd Place –  Randy Townsend of Harvey Cedars 51:22
