WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest hosted its annual Patriot’s Day memorial service Sept. 11, to honor those who died in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The event was held at Turtle Gut Park, located at Miami Rd. and New Jersey Ave., adjacent to Sunset Lake. The park includes memorials dedicated to Andrew Alameno, a Wildwood Crest native who was killed on Sept. 11, 2001, during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.
Wildwood Crest commissioners Don Cabrera and Joyce Gould, and Mayor Carl Groon hosted the event. Various religious and community leaders also attended the ceremony, along with approximately 200 members of the public.
