NORTH WILDWOOD – A motorcyclist lost his life Friday evening, Aug. 15, after losing control of his vehicle while heading out of the city, police said.
Police responded to the crash at 600 W. Spruce Ave. at 9:53 p.m. Just before the accident, an officer observed a black sport motorcycle traveling westbound on Spruce Avenue at a high rate of speed. Police said the driver, whom they did not identify, lost control and went off the roadway and crashed.
The North Wildwood Fire Department and medics from AtlantiCare provided medical assistance and transported the driver to Cooper University Hospital. The driver later succumbed to his injuries.
