MEYER, ROBERT

MEYER, ROBERT Robert Meyer, 77, of Wildwood, entered fully into the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. Born June 11, 1946 in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Reinhold Meyer and the late Catherine Margaret (Kelly) Meyer. Robert lived his life as Christ's servant, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Apostle Robert Meyer was the founder of The Carpenter's Shop church in Wildwood NJ. In addition to his endeavors as a pastor, he worked as a Math Teacher (Harrisburg, PA); Media Specialist (Middle Township, NJ); General Contractor and Entrepreneur (Wildwood, NJ). He is a graduate of Neshaminy High School (Langhorne, PA) and Shippensburg State College (PA), where he earned his BA in Math and Masters in Communication. He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Connie Jean (Hershey) Meyer; children, Peter Meyer and wife Andrea, of Hockessin, DE; Aaron Meyer, and wife Robin, of Port St. Lucie, FL; Justin Meyer and wife Ali of Chadds Ford, PA; Travis Meyer and wife Danielle of Springfield, PA; Joseph Meyer and wife Sara of Wilmington, DE; ten grandchildren, Jillian, Samuel, Rhett, Joshua, Daina, Cullen, Ryan, William, Peyton, and Alexander; siblings, Diane DeTample and Cheryl Stempin; and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 30th, at Christ Gospel Church, 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro, NJ, with Dr. Bill Dickerson officiating.
