Obituary

MEYER, ERIK V., SR.

MEYER, ERIK V., SR. Erik V. Meyer, Sr. age 56, passed away November 16h, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut and lived in Cape May County for over 50 years, he worked 30 years as a commercial Clammer in the local back bay. He had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, yard work, and watching football. He had great talent for mechanical work and fixing things, it's what he loved to do. He enjoyed his time volunteering as The Tug Boat Captain at Beachcomber Campground in the Summertime. He truly was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend anyone could ever ask for. His legacy lives on with his work strongly advocating and petitioning for the removal of the only 3 parkway lights and have them replaced by overpasses, following the fatal car crash that claimed his son Christopher's life. He was predeceased by his sons Christopher and Erik Meyer. Survived by his wife Betty and son Nicholas Meyer. Also two grandsons Jacob and Joshua Meyer. Funeral service to be held on December 2, 2023 at 11am in Notre Dame De La Mer Parish, Saint Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
