Geraldine McDonnell (Craige), 86, left her earthly life on July 28th, 2025 at ARMC in Atlantic City. NJ after five years battling cancer. She leaves her grieving and devoted spouse, Francis (Mickey), children Maureen (John) Snyder and Michael (Beth) McDonnell, two grandsons John Snyder and Michael McDonnell Jr, a sister Chea Villanueva, and niece Tracy Reeder. Predeceased by sister Margaret and grandson Harry.
Gerry grew up in Philadelphia and attended catholic schools. She resided in Northwood for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and became a registered nurse at age 49 eventually earning her bachelor's degree from LaSalle University. She worked at Moss Rehab.
Upon retirement she and Mickey moved to Sea Isle City. NJ where she worked in cat rescue organizations, volunteering, and Catholic Daughters. She was a talented gardener, baker, and crafter as well as a tireless listener and enthusiastic teammate in any venture. She will be mourned by many.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 10:00-11:00 am at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 4308 Landis Ave, Sea Isle City, New Jersey followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am. Donations may be made to Sea Isle City Cats.
