MAURER, RICHARD WALTER

MAURER, RICHARD WALTER Richard Walter Maurer, passed away Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 after a brief illness. Richard was raised in Upper Darby, Pa., and eventually moved his family to Glenmoore, Pa. After a successful career at QVC, he retired from his position as a Vice President, and moved with his wife Diane to Avalon, NJ. He loved sports, the Eagles and was an enthusiastic Phillies fan. Richard loved cooking for his family, golfing with friends, talking politics and listening to Classic Rock in his car at top volume. Richard is survived by his wife Diane, children Heather, Gregory, Kate, four granddaughters Alexandra, Maeve, Shelby and Mackenzie, and his brother Joseph Maurer. A Memorial Service will be at The First United Methodist Church of Avalon, 3344 Dune Drive, Avalon on December 13th with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Fund, 3344 Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202.
