Man Charged in Burglary at N. Wildwood Bar and Grill

NORTH WILDWOOD – A Philadelphia man has been charged with burglary and theft after he broke into The Inlet North Wildwood and stole credit and gift cards, police said.

James A. White, 60, was charged after an investigation of a July 6 break-in at the bar and grill, located at 101 E. Walnut Ave.

On that date the Police Department responded to a report of a male entering the property. The suspect then used the credit cards at retail stores in Atlantic City. 

Detective Sgt. Joseph Kopetsky reviewed surveillance cameras and was able to identify the vehicle that the suspect was driving. The investigation led to the identification of the suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. 

On Aug. 24 White turned himself in to the Police Department. He was charged with  burglary, theft and possession/use of a stolen credit card.

He is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
