WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Recreation announces summer basketball results.
Grades 3-5:
Wawa Markets 27, Adventurer Oceanfront Motel 20: Alexander Daniel sank nine points and Chris Papageorgiou added eight points for the winners. Patrick Flaherty’s 10 points and Gianni Troiano’s five points led Adventurer.
Hot Spot IV 39, Domino’s Pizza 17: Nathan Dwornik poured in 23 points and Stephan Kmetz chipped in nine points for Hot Spot. Domino’s got nine points from Robert Andrews and four points from Gavin Reigner.
Grades 6-8:
Dogtooth Bar & Grill 52, Original Hot Spot 40: Archie Lawler exploded for 32 points and Manny Weaver added 14 points for the Dogtooth. Jared Johnson netted 13 points and Patrick McGuinn contributed eight points in the loss.
Russo’s Market 46, Cone Crazy 40: Jimmy Kane (13) and Michael Zarfati (12) each reached double figures for the winners. Jacob Bey had 19 points and Aydan Howell and Cameron Abate each chipped in seven points for Cone Crazy.
Duffer’s Ice Cream 43, Poppi’s Pizza 29: Michael Hoey’s 16 points and Carter Short’s 13 points led Duffer’s. Junior Hans scored 16 points and Ryan Troiano added eight points in the loss.
High school:
Alfe’s Restaurant 29, Casiello Construction 19: David Durham led all scorers with 15 points and Michael McGee added four points in the win. Luke Cassidy’s nine points and Ernie Troiano’s seven points topped Casiello.
Victorian Gardens Landscaping 50, Crestfully Clean 43: Tommy Belansen erupted for a game-high 31 points and Riley Watkins added eight points in the win. Torey Harris (14) and Tommy Bolle (12) led Crestfully Clean.
Big Time Vending 51, Smitty’s Parking Lots 41: Seamus Fynes collected 14 points and Patrick Moore added 13 points for Big Time. Kevin Castro posted 21 points and David Zarfati chipped in 13 points in the loss.
