In Little League Majors 12-U softball, the Upper Township Greenheads defeated Northfield UCLA, 11-6. Abigail Craige had three hits, including two doubles and three runs batted in. Katie Whilden, Bella Mavilla, Kira Sturgess and Hannah Martin had two hits each. Mavilla picked up the win.
The Greenheads also defeated Middle Township, 17-6. Katie Whilden had three doubles and scored five runs. Abigail Craige smacked four hits including two triples and knocked in seven runs. Bella Mavilla and Kira Sturgess had three hits each. Kira Sturgess scattered seven hits to pick up the win.
The Greenheads defeated the neighboring Upper Tin Knockers, 14-4. Abigail Craige hit a home run, drove in five runs and scored three times. Erika Wilde had two hits and three runs batted in. Bella Mavilla picked up the win with seven strike outs. TinKnocker Abby Davis had two hits in the loss.
