Thunder in the Sand storms into town

The thrill and excitement of motocross roars to the Wildwoods beaches at Lincoln Ave. Oct. 9-11, for the Fall Thunder in the Sand Progressive AMA Sanctioned Motocross Races.
Presented by New Jersey Thunder MotorSports Inc, and ATCO MX Park Fall Thunder in the Sand is the third round of the four-part Thunder Series.
The beaches will be transformed into a custom course with hairpin turns and huge jumps, providing non-stop action. The event will feature both AMA-sanctioned and Pro-AM motocross races, with beginners to professional racers competing for their chance to win top cash prizes.
The event kicks off Friday, with a regular practice session from 1-4 p.m. and drag racing beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, practice will be held from 9-11 a.m. with racing starting at noon. On Sunday, hot laps start at 9 a.m. and the racing begins at 10 a.m. For additional practice times, visit www.thundermoto.com.
Riders of all skill-levels are encouraged to join the fun by signing up to participate in this adrenaline-pumping event. Amateur Classes are $30 and Pro Classes are $40.
Spectator tickets for those who prefer sitting back and watching the pure exhilaration of motocross on the beach are $7 for bleacher seating, and children under 4 are free.
The three-day jam-packed event will be covered by MXP-TV, as they will be taking daily photo coverage as well as filming all weekend long to guarantee all of the highlights of the event will be captured on film.
