Pins Lift Middle to Win Over Lower

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township High School wrestling team hosted rival Lower Cape May on senior night and won, 54-21, on Jan. 24.
The Panthers jumped out to an 18-0 lead with a forfeited match from Gary James Nagle and pins from Kyle Matthews and Austin Cominsky.
The Caper Tigers soon caught up with a win from Josh Antorino and three forfeited matches to take a 21-18 lead.
The rest of the match was all Middle with big pins from Romeo Rodriguez, Carson Haas, Gavin Gomez and Karl Giulian. Max Heaps had a key double overtime win for the go ahead points.
The Panthers are 10-3 on the season while the Caper Tigers are 5-8.
