A remarkable feat for the Middle Township Panthers boys’ tennis team occurred Monday May 21 as they won their third South Jersey Group I title in four years. Throngs of people filled the Woodstown tennis court, to watch the game. Their season is currently 18-2, will come to a close as they face Highland Park on Wednesday, May 22.
The panthers return to Cape May Court House was met with an impromptu parade in Cape May Court House along Main Street. Fire trucks, EMS and police personnel turned out to give the boys a great victory parade. Middle Township Athletics thanked Sean McDevitt (MTHS 1986), EMS chief and fire captain from Green Creek Fire Company, who put out the call for a parade.
