Instead of buying a surfboard, you could try renting one.

By On Deck Staff

You’re at the shore, so it stands to reason you have at least secretly wanted to get hold of a surfboard and see just what kind of talent you have.
Well, instead of buying a surfboard, you could try renting one.
And if you really want to do this right—just like any activity, you should get some help from people who do this for a living.
Here are a couple of suggestions, just to get you started, but Cape May County has plenty of surf shops. (See our Shopping sidebar on page XXXX.)
Heritage Surf & Skate, 744 West Ave., Ocean City, 609-398-6390; and 3700 Landis Ave., Sea Isle City, 609-263-3033, heritagesurf.com offers surfing classes.
Method Skateboard & Wakeboard Shop, 8305 Landis Ave., Sea Isle City, 609-263-8463, methodskate.com is opening up beach rentals in July between Ocean City and Sea Isle City and they have three events coming up that they invite anyone to see.
