High School Scores: Middle Football Overwhelms Pleasantville

In Sept. 15 soccer, Absegami knotted Middle, 3-3. Joe Fala scored twice.
Ocean City downed Hammonton, 2-0. Devon Terwilliger and Ashley Edgell scored.
In field hockey, Lower edged Middle, 2-1. Carissa Scott and Olivia Levin scored. Abby Thompson scored for Middle.
Ocean City whipped Atlantic City, 12-0. Jordan Allegretto scored four goals.
In Sept. 16 boys’ soccer, Wildwood Catholic stoped Cape May Tech, 4-1. Sal Zampirri scored twice. Jay Rutledge scored for Tech.
Lower ripped Holy Spirit, 6-2. Chris Suttera netted a hat trick.
Middle defeated Pleasantville, 4-0. Joe Fala scored twice.
Pitman shut down Wildwood, 4-0. Rick Amado stopped 24 shots.
In girls’ soccer, Lower topped Holy Spirit, 2-1. Madie Gibson scored twice.
Wildwood Catholic rattled Cape May Tech, 8-0. Catilin McMullen scored a hat trick.
Middle defeated OLMA, 3-1. Bridget Ruskey scored and assisted.
Pitman shut out Wildwood, 6-0.
In Sept. 17 boys’ soccer, St. Augustine outlasted Ocean City, 1-0.
Gloucester Catholic whipped Wildwood, 7-1. Jared Irwin scored.
In field hockey, Lower spanked Cedar Creek, 8-1. Olivia Levin scored four goals.
Ocean City overwhelmed Millville, 11-0. Kelly Hanna scored four goals.
St. Joseph’s edged Middle, 3-1. Jenna Herlihy scored.
In Sept. 18 boys’ soccer, Wildwood Catholic shut out Lower, 1-0. Pat McGann scored.
Middle edged Cape Tech, 4-3. Tom Williams scored two goals. Joe Fala scored the game-winner. Robert Edmunds stopped 35 shots for the Hawks.
In girls’ soccer, Lower edged Wildwood Catholic, 3-2. Madie Gibson scored three goals.
Middle whipped Cape Tech, 7-1. Aras Walker scored for the Hawks. Bridget Ruskey, Jenn McCann, Abbey Stahler, Allison Hunter, Olivia Nelson, Jordan Shelton and Carly Ridgeway scored for Middle.
Gloucester Catholic defeated Wildwood, 7-1. Keturah Marrow scored.
In Sept. 19 football, Vineland stopped Ocean City, 26-13. Owen Naplacic ran 52 yards and eight yards, respectively, for touchdowns.
Middle pounded Pleasantville, 49-7. Zhiar Bland scored three touchdowns.
Riverside defeated Wildwood, 40-26. Abdiel Richards scored four touchdowns.
Egg Harbor Township defeated Lower, 60-0.
In field hockey, Pitman over-timed Lower, 3-2. Bethany Castelucci and Carrie Wunder scored.
Egg Harbor Township defeated Middle, 6-2.
