NORTH CAPE MAY – There were 1,700 athletes who tested their resilience and leaped into the Fifth Annual Escape the Cape Triathlon June 4.
The athletes started the race with a 12-foot jump off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry into Delaware Bay. After swimming ashore, they biked through the vineyards and back roads of Lower Township before running to the finish line, according to a release.
