Errant Dolphin Returned to Bay

COURT HOUSE – Rescuers saved a stranded dolphin from a shallow creek near Hand Avenue Aug. 7, located several miles from the Delaware Bay, according to a report on NJ.com
The adult, male, bottlenose dolphin was spotted by someone running nearby.
It took two tries to net the dolphin, and the dolphin was freed in the bay around 6 p.m. at Cook’s Beach, according to the report. 
Volunteers from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center responded, along with the local fire department.
