Cat fanciers come to Wildwoods

By On Deck Staff

The William Penn Cat Club and the European Burmese Cat Club are jointly presenting a CFA Championship Cat Show in the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center, Aug. 15-16.
Featured will be 450 cats and up to 40 different pedigreed cat breeds and household pets from New Jersey and surrounding states, as they compete for top awards in The Cat Fanciers’ Association, Inc. show.
All cats will be judged in eight competition rings over the course of the two-day event.
Spectators are invited to watch the cats being judged, wander through the show hall to see the cats close up and visit with exhibitors, plus shop to their hearts’ content for unique cat items.
A number of vendors will offer for sale a variety of merchandise for both felines and fanciers, including unique cat toys and grooming supplies, as well as feline themed household items and clothing.
Several area shelters will also be present with cats available for adoption to loving homes.
Show hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and children under 12-years of age.
Children under 3 are free.
