Animal Control Officer Rounds up Bull on Busy Road

By Jack Fichter

COLD SPRING – A young bull broke through a fence of a property in the 900 block of Seashore Road Thursday Oct. 8 about 2:30 p.m. and was roped by Lower Township Animal Control Officer Don Montgomery and removed from running around in traffic.
Horses and the bull have been added to the property across from the Carl Mitnick School recently. The animals are separated from Seashore Road by a shaky wire fence.
Montgomery has worked with dolphins, an alligator, a tarantula and numerous dogs and cats but said the bull was his first. He was assisted by Lower Township police officers in the round up.
