Mid-Season Resolution: Clean Out That Shed!

Seashore Sheds

By Sponsored

Fall is here, which means the holidays aren’t far behind. Now is the time to set a mid-season resolution to clean and organize your shed, just in time for holiday decorating. It’s likely you’ll be making numerous trips to the shed to pull out those holiday decorations, so why not make it a little less painful with some organization?
Throw away anything hazardous such as expired cleaners, old paint and dried up liquids. Depose of these items safely! Get rid of any recyclables that may have piled up, including paper. Paper tends to easily stack up, and storing it in a shed is no good. It can get moldy and dirty, and attract pests. So get rid of any books, magazines and old paperwork you can!
Organize everything by season, giving each season its own area or shelf. If you only have room for two categories rather than four, place gardening and yard tools with backyard accessories to group spring and summer items, and place holiday decorations with snow supplies to condense fall and winter items. Be sure to label your decorations by holiday!
Sell or donate anything that’s not being used or not in working condition. This might include old exercise machines, bikes that are no longer used, broken yard equipment and more. It’s inevitable for stuff like this to pile up over the years. Now is the time to get rid of it and make some much needed space!
Sometimes it’s easier to solve your storage and organization problems by starting fresh with a brand new shed. Give Seashore Sheds a call at (609) 884-3381, and the staff will be more than happy to help you find your storage solution! Stop by and view what they have to offer at 507 Seashore Rd., Cape May.
