There must be moonbeams

over the ocean tonight,

The clouded sky

Conceals their dazzle,

Saving the brilliance of their beauty

For another day

When the overcast is not

as insistent,

When the night

Discovers its stars again,

And lets their twinkling light

Pour forth

To paint pictures of reassurance

In the darkness.
