There is an Animal Giving Tree at the Billmae Cottage, 1015 Washington St., Cape May.
It is the focal point for people wishing to donate dog or cat treats, dog or cat toys, dog or cat food, old but clean towels and blankets to be used for bedding, any unused leashes, crates, etc. and/or bleach for cleaning.
We are collecting through Jan. 3. We will deliver the collected goods to Animal Outreach and the Cape May County Animal Shelter.
Additionally, each year we donate to the nonprofit organization “Paws and Stripes.” It is rated four-star on Charity Navigator.
They use all of their collections to rescue dogs that would otherwise be euthanized and train them to be service dogs for veterans in need.
We ask anyone so desiring to consider dropping off a check, made out to Paws and Stripes. We will send all checks received, along with our matching funds check, to Paws and Stripes on Jan 3.

Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
