United Way, Familywize Partner for Discount Prescription Cards

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — The United Way of Cape May County, in cooperation with Familywize Community Service Partnership, is distributing discount prescription cards to residents in Cape May County.
Joanne Carrocino, president and CEO, Cape Regional Medical Center and Suzanne Nardi, director, United Way of Cape May County, have placed the Discount Prescription Card Distribution Stands throughout Cape Regional Medical Center.
The Discount Prescription Card provides all the necessary information people will need to locate a participating pharmacy. The service is free (with no enrollment or activation fee), and the savings are immediate.
“On average consumers will realize a 35 percent savings. The cards are available for use by people with no insurance and for Medicare and other benefit plans where the patient does not have prescription coverage. The card is accepted in most pharmacies nationwide, covers all prescription drugs, and there are no age or income restrictions,” Nardi stated in a release.
“We are pleased to partner with the United Way of Cape May County to offer this valuable discount prescription program,” stated Carrocino. “We encourage people who do not have insurance or have insurance that does not cover the cost of their medication to come to Cape Regional Medical Center or the United Way Office (230 E. Maple Avenue, Wildwood) to obtain a card.
Stands are located at each entrance throughout the medical center, Carrocino added.
