Heal Your Eyes, Heal Your Vision with MicroAcupuncture48

By Sponsored

In the mid-1980s, a Danish researcher began investigating newly discovered acupuncture points with the goal of finding a neurological solution for arthritis and neuropathy. Participants in the studies reported their vision was improving, a positive finding since the eye is an extension of the brain connected by the optic nerve.
Studies continued to better understand how these points could benefit eye health and the term MicroAcupuncture was coined to describe this new contemporary acupuncture system. Eventually, MicroAcupuncture made its way to the United States where it was further developed by an American acupuncture physician, Dr. Andy Rosenfarb, ND, L.Ac.
Decades of clinical research permitted Dr. Rosenfarb to refine MicroAcupuncture to 48 key points and establish protocols for medically diagnosed eye conditions such as cataracts, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, optic neuritis and more. He renamed this medical system MicroAcupunture48.
Patients receiving MicroAcpuncture48 can expect to be comfortably reclined for 30 minutes while hair-thin acupuncture needles are placed in their hands, feet, and forehead. No needles are placed in the eyes. 85% of patients have measurable improvement after 10 treatments; however, a complete protocol is 20 to 30 treatments.
Patients are encouraged to implement home care therapy such as eye exercises, wear blue light protective glasses and consume beneficial foods. For example, dark green leafy vegetables,  and produce that is yellow/orange in color, such as carrots, squash and pumpkin, contain high levels of carotenoid antioxidants. These key nutrients protect the macula from degenerative diseases.
DHA from fish protects the optic nerve from inflammation, increases blood flow and strengthens the flexibility of vessel walls. Electrolyte minerals such as potassium, magnesium and zinc act like sponges that hold water; they alleviate dry eye syndrome, may slow the progression of cataracts and decrease eye pressure.
Today, it may be possible to help people recover lost vision, and improve the health of their eyes when MicroAcupuncture48 is performed in conjunction with the treatment plan of their primary eye specialist.
Paul Edward Lewis, Masters of Oriental Medicine, completed his Advanced MicroAcupuncture48 certification under the watchful eye of Dr. Andy Rosenfarb, ND, L.Ac. He is the owner of South Jersey Advanced Health Solutions, 1881 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland and 801 Rt. 9 S. Cape May Court House.
