Co Chamber of Commerce Continues to Work for Business Community Amid Virus Threat

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Chamber has plans in place to support and promote the local business community through the global pandemic outbreak of COVID-19. 

 

According to a release, as of March 20, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce staff will begin working remotely for health and safety reasons. 

 

Chamber staff is fully engaged and available via phone or email during normal business hours. 

 

The Visitors Center, at 13 Crest Haven Road, Exit 11 GSP, will remain closed until a time that it is safe to reopen.

 

“Working on behalf of the business community remains our primary focus, although under different circumstances and through innovative ways,” stated Vicki Clark, president of the Cape May County Chamber. “We want you to know that we are continuing to advocate for business and are communicating with our loyal visitors,” added Clark.

Resources for Businesses and the Community:

  • A resource webpage www.capemaycountychamber.com/coronavirus has been established to help with questions about coronavirus (COVID-19) with information about business and employer concerns.
  • Email the Chamber about your business hours, operations and opportunities for people to still do business with local establishments. The Chamber plans to promote this information to the public via the website, email and social media.
  • The Chamber is in constant contact with partnering organizations and government leaders in order to provide the most up to date information via its website resource page.

  • The Chamber has postponed all events this spring. Check their events webpage www.capemaycountychamber.com/events for event updates.
  • The Business @ The Beach Expo has been rescheduled for September 23, 2020.
  • The “Fore” Education Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for September 15, 2020.
