The Bayberry Twigs Branch of the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host their 34th Annual Antique Show during the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.
On, May 23 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. more than 20 quality antique dealers will be displaying their wares at the Avalon Community Hall located at 30th Street and the Beach in Avalon.
Renowned certified appraiser, Arthur Schwerdt will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discuss and appraise up to two items for a fee of $5.
Schwerdt has been certified as a Senior Professional Appraiser by The National Association of Professional Appraisers and is a member of The New England Appraisers Association.
He has been appraising antique furniture and decorative arts, residential furnishings and collectibles for more than 20 years.
Schwerdt is a frequent lecturer to historical societies, museums and collectors’ groups, and has made several guest appearances on radio and television programs to discuss and appraise antiques.

The Philadelphia Daily News has called him “the godfather of Cape May County antiquing.” His book, The Antique Story Book: Finding the Real Value of Old Things, will be available at the show.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
