Morey’s Piers Beach Lacrosse Tournament
This is one of the only Beach Lacrosse Tournaments in the world. This tournament gives lacrosse players of all ages a chance to enjoy the game in a new and exciting way. Teams from all over the East Coast and beyond compete on the beaches at Schellenger Avenue, Wildwood. TOURNAMENT: Games are 5 vs. 5, 4 field players plus a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Each game will have two 18 minute halves with a 4 minute break. Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards. Wildwood Crest 5K Beach Race
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host the 5K Beach Run at 7 p.m. The run will begin and end at the edge of the Wildwood Crest Beach Pier on the beach at Heather Road. The run will be held on an out-and-back all-beach course. The event also includes a one-mile fun run/walk. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in categorized age groups. All pre-registered competitors will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt. Race-day registrants will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt as supplies last. Refreshments will be available and random prizes will be awarded during the awards ceremony following the completion of the races. Registration fees are $20 for the 5K run and $15 for the one-mile fun run. Race-day registration will be held at the Crest Pier Recreation Center at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue. The Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run is a ghoulishly fun and exciting family event for all ages Halloween Weekend. This festive boardwalk event offers a 5K & 10K run along with a 1 mile family walk. Many of the participants dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and vie for the prizes in the best dressed categories of family, youth, infant and Best All Around.
