As Cape May celebrates its 400th anniversary, Craig McManus, psychic medium and ghost book author, is teaming up with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) to unveil his new book, “400 Years of the Ghosts of Cape May.”
McManus will be at Cape May’s original haunted house, the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., for a special evening full of activities highlighting the City’s ghostly history on Aug. 28.
From 5:30-7 p.m., the Carriage House Tearoom & Café, on the grounds of the Estate, will be hosting a free book signing.
According to McManus, “The Carriage House has at least two ghosts: a handyman who worked for the Physick family and a young child who has moved into the building from elsewhere in town.”
Please R.S.V.P. by calling MAC at 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278.
Board a MAC trolley at the Physick Estate for ghost tours around Cape May with the ghost writer himself at 7 and 8:30 p.m.
The “once every 400 years” Ghost Trolley Tour, will last one hour and follow the most haunted routes in Cape May, with McManus describing his ghostly discoveries and discussing old ghosts and new, good ones and not so good ones, as you travel the gas-lit streets.
Enjoy a haunted Evening at the Physick Estate from 7 p.m. to midnight. Cape May’s original haunted house will be open to brave souls wanting to take self-guided tours.
“If you have never been inside the Physick mansion at night, you will be in for a true paranormal treat,” McManus advised.
He will also be signing books inside the Physick Estate from 9:45 p.m. to midnight.
Tickets for the self-guided tour are $15 or $10 for those who purchase the new “400 Years of the Ghosts of Cape May.”
