WILDWOOD CREST – One of the most popular bands in the Delaware Valley is scheduled to appear in Wildwood Crest this weekend as the Sensational Soul Cruisers are set to perform at Centennial Park Sat., Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
An 11-musician band, the Sensational Soul Cruisers capture the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its R&B roots through the sounds of classic Philly Soul, Motown, disco and the music of such bands as Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago and more. The Soul Cruisers feature full versatile and talented horn and rhythm sections and four soulful and harmonic vocalists, and perform with the style, skill and choreography of a classic show band. Based out of Central Jersey, the Sensational Soul Cruisers have performed all over the country and have been a Jersey Shore/Philadelphia/New York area favorite for many years. The band annually makes more than 200 appearances each year.
This all-ages show is FREE and open to the entire family. Those attending the show should bring a blanket or a chair. Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue. Free parking for the show is available at Myrtle Road and Ocean Avenue.
Centennial Park hosts FREE live musical performances each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday through Sept. 3.
During all Wednesday and Saturday shows, Centennial Park also features a model train arrangement to entertain kids and adults alike. The model trains are located in the southwest corner of the park.
