OCEAN CITY – The City of Ocean City will host the annual summer Bicycle Auction on Monday, July 25th at 10 a.m., with a rain date set for Tuesday July 26th. The auction, held at the north end of the Municipal building at 46th Street and West Avenue, will last approximately two hours. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and requires a driver’s license, passport or valid I.D.
The auction includes approximately 150 bicycles and other surplus items. The Police Department classifies each item as either abandoned or unclaimed property. All items include the label “As Is/Where Is,” meaning all items are sold as they appear, the City makes no implied claim or warranty to any bike’s overall condition. Some items appear newer, while used items may require repair and moderation. No returns on any item.
Accepted forms of payment include cash, traveler’s checks, or bank checks with proper I.D.
