CAPE MAY — Calling the young and young-at-heart! Cape May Stage is pleased to present Magic at the Cape: A Performance for Children, featuring magicians Michael Russell Walsh and Johnny Mass.
On July 28 and August 4 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse, Mass and Walsh will mystify minds young and old with their unique blend of sleight of hand and comedy. Join them inside the beautiful Victorian setting of Cape May Stage while they take you and your family on a magical journey reminiscent of the golden era of magic when conjurors entertained high society in parlor rooms fit for kings.
Over the past three years, magicians Walsh and Mass have performed their magic all over the tri-state area, from schools and private parties in Philadelphia to regional performing arts centers including Atlantic City’s Houdini Theater.
Hailing from the Midwest in the village of Wintersville, Ohio, Walsh has been entertaining since 1974 and has brought his unique style of magic to the forefront of his art. He first became interested in magic while watching The Mark Wilson and Bill Bixby magic shows.
Never having been satisfied with just “doing tricks”, Michael strives to be the consummate performer and entertainer. He travels regularly to lectures and conventions in New York, Philadelphia and Las Vegas. Walsh is a member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians, The Society of American Magicians and the Delaware Knights of Magic and has performed in all types of venues across the Mid-Atlantic States.
Walsh’s co-star, Johnny Mass, began as a children’s performer, and has quickly proven to be a rising star in magic, as well. A New Jersey native, Johnny has been wowing audiences with his wonderful blend of magic and comedy for over 15 years.
With charming glances and contagious smiles, Walsh and Mass will mystify minds with their brand of magical effects. Whether audiences see their unbelievable magic at close range or witness their stunning stage show, remember: what is…may not be!
