Italian dinner and movie to help earthquake victims

By On Deck Staff

On April 17, Church of the Advent, Franklin and Washington streets, Cape May and Cape May Film Society will host a special Italian dinner and movie night.
The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs and the film will be “Summertime,” starring Katharine Hepburn (set in Italy).
“This will be a special event because we’re sending a portion of proceeds to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Central Italy,” said Program Committee Chair Corbin Cogswell. “It clearly fits in with the theme for the night, and we know the people of our community will do anything they can to help.”
The dinner and movie night is sponsored by Dellas Real Estate.
Kim Dellas is authorized by the Hepburn estate to use the Hepburn name on her license plate. She’s a big fan, and she’ll prepare some notes for presentation during the night of the film.
Dinner begins at 5 p.m., and the movie starts at 8 p.m.
