Dueling Violin Mother/Daughter Team Returns to PAC

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township PAC and Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops are proud to announce the return of the dynamic violin virtuoso mother daughter team of Susan and her gorgeous daughter Amina Elsayed. Elsayed, former Concert Master of the Ocean City Pops, has been performing with her daughter with the Pops since its inception in 2009 and the duo have become one of the most popular attractions for the pops orchestra in recent years. They will both guest star in the production Great Balls of Fire with Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops Aug. 23 at 7:00 p.m. This concert will be the final concert of the summer concert season at the PAC for the orchestra and will star the conductor of the orchestra, Linda Gentille.
Music director and conductor for the orchestra Linda Gentille comments, “I am so excited to be able to include this fabulous performance duo into all of our concerts this season because they continue to amaze our audiences every time. Standing ovations after their duets are just normal. Amina and her mother both have amazing stage charisma in addition to fabulous technique. How they bounce all over the stage while playing amazing technical feats astounds me!”
Susan Elsayed is Principal violinist and featured soloist with the Jersey Shore Pops. Elsayed studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and earned her violin performance Bachelor`s Degree from The Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts. She was the Concert Mistress of the Ocean City Pops during the 80`s under the leadership of Frank Ruggieri and currently is also violinist with the Masterworks Choir/Ensemble. Elsayed has performed in the main show rooms of the casinos for such headliners as Frank Sinatra, Josh Groban. Andrea Bocelli and Tony Bennett. featured violinist with the Carl Granieri That`s Italian Show. The mother daughter duo have become one of the most popular acts to perform with the Jersey Shore Pops. Elsayed has the distinct honor of being awarded “Teacher of the Year 2013” by the Brigantine School District and the State of New Jersey, Department of Education, Atlantic County Office.
The Jersey Shore Pops is a big band orchestra with string section, modeled after the orchestras of the Frank Sinatra era which featured a string section along with the big band sounds. The orchestra features 25 of the finest New Jersey musicians either born or based in New Jersey. The orchestra has been compared to the Philly Pops because like Nero, Gentille is also a pianist conductor and arranger. More and more Philly Pops fans have become season ticket holders for the Jersey Shore Pops because of the fabulous shows, reasonable ticket prices and free and convenient parking offered by the venue of the Middle Township Performing Arts Center.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. The funds were administered by the Cape May County Culture and Heritage Commission, under the authority of the County Library Commission, for the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Individual tickets for Great Balls of Fire with The Jersey Shore Pops are $25- $40 and the group rate for groups of over 20 is $22 a ticket. Tickets are also now available at the PAC for walk up purchases for individual ticket sales. The theater is located at 212 Bayberry Ave, off exit 10 off the Garden State Parkway. There is convenient and free parking at the facility.
