CAPE MAY – What better way to spend St. Patrick’s weekend than in Cape May at the historic Congress Hall’s nightclub, The Boiler Room! Able to bring out a little Irish in everyone, the renowned John Byrne Band will be performing their signature, traditional yet modern, Celtic/folk music.
Celebrate on Fri., March 16, and Sat., March 17, with The John Byrne Band (live from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.) while sipping on $5 Guinness drafts and feasting on your favorite festive Irish foods. With such great live entertainment and no cover charge, you’ll feel the urge to dance an Irish jig!
The John Byrne Band is led by former Patrick’s Head front man and Dublin native John Byrne. With all new material and a brand new lineup, The John Byrne Band is known to skillfully deliver their music to captivated audiences.
“You can expect to almost see my head explode on stage!” says Byrne. “I like playing long shows. I take a lot of pride in how a show is organized, and I like to make sure it’s an experience. We’ll play for as long as they’ll allow us to play. We’ll pretty much give you everything we have. We always try and give a really good show.”
Located in the basement level of the hotel, The Boiler Room was built right into the foundation of the building. The original boiler pit for Congress Hall sits right next to the stage. The faceplate of the original boiler resides on the back wall of the club.
