Jen Trombetta, the wife of Middle Township Police Officer Jack Trombetta, has been diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.
RSD is an uncommon chronic neurological condition that usually affects your arms or legs. The key symptom of RSD is continuous, intense pain, which gets worse rather than better over time.
Other symptoms include: muscle spasm, frequent infections, weakness, tremors, and difficulty starting movements.
Jen is currently confined to a wheel chair. Her husband, jack, has been out of work to take care of Jen and their small children.
There is no cure for RSD.
However, there is an experimental treatment that offers hope. The treatment is expensive and is not covered by insurance. Our goal is to raise money to help offset the cost of these treatments.
