COURT HOUSE – Avalon Golf Club is proud to announce they will host the Disco Diva Ball Dinner & Dance Aug. 15 at 6:00 p.m. The event will feature a sumptuous 3 course sit down dinner with both disco and ballroom music. The event will have a live DJ and patrons will be able to request their favorite songs when they purchase their tickets. The sit down dinner will have a choice of Broiled Salmon, Chicken Parmesan or Pasta Primavera. The full 3 course meal will include: salad, vegetables, entrée potatoes, desert and coffee.
The Jersey Shore Pops hosted a dinner dance in July which was such a huge success, they decided to do them on a regular basis at the Avalon Golf Club. Dr. Nick Holland, president of the Jersey Shore Pops comments, “The last dinner dance was a huge success with our outreach to the dance community. We had several patrons become season ticket holders as a result. These dances will become a regular part of our fundraising and community outreach efforts as we continue into 2015.”
Two time National Ballroom Dance Champion Tom Cupp of Cape May will be teaching dance lessons at this event as well as demonstrating various dance styles. Cupp has over 30 years of experience as a show and stage professional dancer.
Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops Orchestra have hit a career milestone celebrating their 5th Anniversary this year with their 2014 Summer Concert Series at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center.
Linda Gentille, music director and conductor for the popular orchestra will be in attendance as well as many of the featured musicians with the orchestra. All of the board members of The Jersey Shore Pops will also be in attendance to provide information about upcoming shows at the Middle Township PAC and The Ocean City Music Pier.
The price of the event is $60 per person which covers the cost of the dinner, gratuities, DJ, and the dance lesson. ,JSP is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization and all contributions are tax deductible.
