KOLONDRA, FRANK
Frank Kolondra of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away at the age of 99. He was born in Detmarovice, CZ. He came to America in May of 1951 and joined the US Army in September of 1951. After his honorable discharge he went to work for RCA in Harrison, NJ. He then enrolled in Newark College of Engineering. After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering he became an associate member of the technical staff with David Sarnoff Research accumulating several patents.
He was a longstanding member of Elks BPOE holding numerous offices including Exalted Ruler of Lodge 1422 in Vineland, NJ. He was also a Charter Member of Elks 2839 of Greater Cape May. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, traveling and writing; publishing 13 novels. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Doris Kolondra; and his three children Colette Cramer (Brian), Andrew Kolondra (Marci) and Frank Kolondra. He has seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 2:30 pm at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, New Jersey 08210. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 pm. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
