WILDWOOD – Police used a new boardwalk surveillance system to identify a juvenile who spread graffiti on a boardwalk ramp at Juniper Avenue on Friday, Jan. 10.
Police received a report of criminal mischief at that location on Jan. 10 at approximately 2:35 p.m. Uniformed patrol officers responded and discovered a large area of the ramp had been covered in graffiti. Patrol officers and detectives used the new surveillance system to positively identify a male juvenile suspect, who resides in the city.
On Jan. 13, the juvenile turned himself in at police headquarters. Police said he was processed and released to his parent with the agreement that he successfully complete the station house adjustment program. In addition, the boy must pay full restitution of the cost of having the graffiti removed.
