Indictments Filed Jan. 2

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, but there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 15 indictments Tuesday, Jan. 2. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

Vindra Williams faces a four-count indictment, including two second-degree counts for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, methamphetamine, and endangering the welfare of a child. The indictment contained a third-degree count for possession of a CDS and a count in the fourth degree for possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia.

Ben Shafer was indicted on three third-degree counts for theft by deception, forgery and uttering a forged instrument.

Elliott Delgado was indicted on three counts of third-degree possession of a CDS. The drugs were cocaine, heroin and fentanyl xylazine.

Jessica L. Good and Faustino Colon were together indicted for possession of a CDS in the third degree. The drug was cocaine.

Jose L. Morales, Yarieliz E. Morales and Michelle N. Lugo were named in a five-count indictment. All three face third-degree counts for conspiracy, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, along with a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon, a baseball bat. Jose Morales alone was named in a fourth-degree count for cyber harassment.

Franco C. Huamani-Tito and Gina Dias-Flores jointly face three third-degree counts for fraudulent use of a credit card, theft and conspiracy. The indictment also contained a fourth-degree count for unlawful theft of a credit card.

Kelsey Bortles, Brian Parker, Carrianne Walsh and Karlie Ficara were all separately and independently indicted on a single count of third-degree possession of a CDS. The drugs were cocaine and methamphetamine.

Jorge A. Aviles-Lopez was named in a five-count indictment, including two second-degree counts for possession with intent to distribute and possession of a weapon, a dagger, while committing certain CDS crimes. There were two third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, fentanyl, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Jahmir D. Wilkins was indicted on a third-degree count for theft related to an incident in West Cape May in November 2023.

Woodrow Gipson faces a fourth-degree count for throwing bodily fluids at a Sheriff’s Department officer.

Jessica Kuni was indicted on two third-degree counts for theft and possession of a CDS. The drug was fentanyl xylazine.

Virgilio Gabriel Villavicen was indicted on a second-degree count of aggravated assault.
