Indictments Filed Oct. 28

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 18 indictments Oct. 28. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Jonathan Ramos was indicted for second-degree burglary. The indictment also contained two third-degree counts for making terroristic threats and criminal restraint and a fourth-degree count for obstructing the administration of law.

Ezekiel X. Cota-Crow was indicted for fourth-degree criminal mischief, causing damage in excess of $500.

Angel M. Velez faces a fourth-degree count for criminal mischief to Rite Aid property in Wildwood. The damage was set at greater than $500.

Robert E. Pfaff was named in a four-count indictment including a first-degree count for drug-induced death. The remaining three counts were in the third degree, for distribution of a CDS, possession of a CDS with intent to distribute and possession of a CDS. The controlled substance was fentanyl.

Ryan A. Burton was indicted for third-degree eluding police in a motor vehicle.

Lawrence E. Whitcraft, Stephanie E. Rubin, Carl L. Bridges and Darcie E. Carrano were all separately and independently indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. The controlled substances were for Whitcraft, methamphetamine, for Rubin, clonazepam, for Bridges, methamphetamine, and for Carrano, cocaine.

Jason Andreola faces two fourth-degree counts, for criminal trespass and contempt of a restraining order.

John G. Pierce was named in a two-count indictment for theft of a low-speed vehicle and criminal mischief causing damage in excess of $2,000. Both counts were in the third degree.

Tammy Troiano was indicted on one count of aggravated arson in the second degree, along with two counts of third-degree arson.

Shawn L. Smallwood faces a five-count indictment including three third-degree counts for aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The weapon was a walking stick. The indictment also contained two fourth-degree counts, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon, brass knuckles.

Anastasia Pierce faces three third-degree counts, with two for aggravated assault and one for resisting arrest.

Ritamari Bianchi was indicted for third-degree insurance fraud.

John Lacontora was named in a single-count indictment for third-degree theft.

Lisa Rippo was indicted for making a false public alarm, a crime in the fourth degree.

Nakuna T. Cradle faces two counts of aggravated assault, one in the second degree and one in the third degree.
