COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 11 indictments Nov. 26.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
Angel Lugo was indicted on two counts, for second-degree sexual assault on a minor and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The victim was at least 13 and under 16.
James F. Monroe faces two third-degree counts, for assault by auto and knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious bodily injury.
Rodney B. Wright, Francis D. Casey, Dominick L. Lynch-Brunozzi and Victoria A. Delong were each separately and independently indicted on one count each of third-degree possession of a CDS. The controlled substances involved were cocaine and methamphetamine.
Ellietni Figueroa was indicted on one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child related to an incident in August in Dennis Township.
Abdul A. Hamilton faces a single count of making terroristic threats in the third degree.
Manuel A. Nieves, Gaspare Biondo and Gayle M. Berman were named in a five-count indictment. All three were indicted on a single count of third-degree possession of a CDS, fentanyl/xylazine. Nieves was alone named in four other counts, two for third-degree possession with intent to distribute, one for second-degree possession with intent within 500 feet of public property, and one for third-degree possession with intent within 1,000 feet of a school.
Rickey M. Nickels faces an 11-count indictment that includes a count of first-degree attempted murder. Other counts are five counts of aggravated assault, one second degree, two each in the third and fourth degrees, along with four weapons counts, one of which was for third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and three for unlawful possession of a weapon, one each in the second, third and fourth degrees. The weapons in question were a BB handgun and a hammer. A final count was making terroristic threats in the third degree.
John A. Hungerbuhler was indicted on a single fourth-degree count of making a false report to law enforcement.
