Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up eight indictments May 14. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Zaquan S. Pitman was indicted on two third-degree counts for fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of movable property valued in excess of $500.

Zackary Thompson faces a second-degree count of certain person for possession of a handgun; he was convicted in 2019 for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute.

Shai A. Allen was named in a single-count indictment for third-degree aggravated assault on an officer of the Middle Township Police Department.

Sean Clark faces two third-degree counts for burglary of a 2010 Dodge van and theft of movable property.

Melissa Riggins, Lisa Arsenio and Tracy Linn were individually and separately indicted on one count each of third-degree possession of a CDS. In all three cases the controlled substance was methamphetamine.

Thomas Stevens was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, one in the second and one in the third degree.
