Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up six indictments June 18. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Michael S. Kendrick was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, along with fourth-degree certain person for possession of a knife despite a conviction in 2016 for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Illson Molla faces a three-count indictment for third-degree making terrorist threats, along with two fourth-degree counts for aggravated assault and throwing bodily fluids.

Laura Turner was named in three counts, one for possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, knives, and two for making terroristic threats. Each count was in the third degree.

Hector E. Fernandez-Montalvo faces a five-count indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a knife, unlawful possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and fourth-degree contempt of a final restraining order. The fifth count was for certain person due to possession of the knife after a previous conviction for homicide.

Gene W. Britton was indicted for fourth-degree harassment while on parole.

Randy Palmer and Michael Garcia were named in one count each of fourth-degree obstructing the administration of law.
