Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, but there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 12 indictments Jan. 7. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Romeo Z. Rodriguez faces a five-count indictment that includes a second-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon, a Smith and Wesson 9mm gun. The indictment has a third-degree count for possession of a CDS, cocaine, as well as three fourth-degree counts, two of which are for possession of a prohibited weapon, hollow-point bullets and a large magazine. The final count was for unlawful possession of a weapon, a fixed blade knife.

Tyrone T. Selby was indicted on two third-degree counts for resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer.

Nicole R. Cathers was named in a single-count indictment for third-degree making terroristic threats in Ocean City in July.

Devon A. McCray was indicted on a third-degree count for hindering apprehension related to an Ocean City incident in November.

Albrecht D. Del faces a third-degree count for theft by failure to make required disposition.

Frank Patitucci was named in a four-count indictment that includes third-degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana, second-degree possession of a weapon, a switch blade knife, while committing a CDS crime and two fourth-degree counts for possession of a CDS and possession of a prohibited weapon, metal knuckles.

Luke Terry faces a single fourth-degree count for unlawful taking of a means of conveyance.

Jessica Ritchie was indicted on a second-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon, a .25 caliber gun.

Travis Lynch was named in a fourth-degree count for certain person. Found in possession of a knife, Lynch had previously been convicted of arson in 2002.

Alissa C. Sweeten faces a second-degree count of endangering the welfare of a child, along with aggravated assault in the third degree.

Paule A. Gagliardi was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin.

William Shallcross, Quan McCray and Paul Lebron were named in a six-count indictment. Shallcross and McCray each face two third-degree counts for theft and theft by deception. Lebron faces two similar counts but each is in the fourth degree.
