COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 18 indictments Dec. 17.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
Charon M. Rountree was indicted on two third-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child related to an incident in Cape May City in September.
Delecia Chopra faces two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child related to an incident in Wildwood in October.
Thomas J. Bradley, Michelle Schroth and Jay E. Unger were separately and independently indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. The controlled substances were fentanyl, cocaine and psilocin, respectively.
Jay E. Unger was named in a second indictment by the same grand jury for third-degree aggravated assault under circumstances that met the criteria for domestic violence.
Welby J. Silversmith was named in a two-count indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS, fentanyl, and unlawful possession of a weapon, a dagger.
Thomas J. Brennan faces a single-count indictment for fourth-degree possession of a prohibited weapon, a switchblade knife.
Tina Prickett was indicted on a single count of third-degree witness tampering.
Hunter J. Foley was named in a two-count indictment for third-degree stalking and fourth-degree contempt of a final restraining order.
Victoria Willis and George Young were jointly named in a nine-count indictment. The two face three second-degree counts, two for endangering the welfare of a child and a third for possession of a prescription legend drug in sufficient quantity to warrant a second-degree charge. They also jointly face three third-degree counts, for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine and alprazolam, and possession of a prohibited weapon, a sawed-off shotgun, along with two fourth-degree counts, for possession of a prohibited weapon, a defaced handgun, and having large-capacity magazines. The final count in the indictment only listed George Young, for third-degree making terroristic threats.
Jordan Matlaga was indicted on a single count of third-degree escape from detention after he failed to return from a temporary leave.
James Collins faces a third-degree count for aggravated assault on a Middle Township police officer.
Bryon M. Phillips was indicted on three counts for burglary and attempted burglary in the third degree, along with fourth-degree theft.
Raymond J. Stacey and Jacqueline Rambo were jointly named in two third-degree counts for theft and conspiracy to commit theft.
John Watson was indicted on two second-degree counts, for sexual assault on a victim less than 13 years old and endangering the welfare of a child.
Rawldon C. Richardson faces a single fourth-degree count of assault by auto related to a case sent to Cape May County by Atlantic County.
Ethan G. Rodriquez was indicted for third-degree receiving a stolen motor vehicle in Lower Township in October.
